Whirlwind Week of Shaking, Dazzling and Wading

Wow! What a week last week turned out to be for us here in the Northeast. I thought it deserved a deviation from my normal Monday fashion post to recap the events! Oh and I'm throwing in some fashion too!

 First a quiet Tuesday afternoon turned into some shaking and walking down 17 floors. Who would have thought an earthquake would hit the East Coast! I'm glad everyone was okay.

Then, on Thursday I was excited to meet the fabulous Emily Henderson of Style By Emily Henderson, along with many other lovely bloggers. She is so sweet and fabulous! More on that on Thursday!

That brings me to the weekend. HTB and I flood proofed our apartment and headed to a friends house that live on higher ground to wait out Hurricane Irene.

She came and went. Luckily only the basement was flooded, but there was some damage across the island. Here's a peak at some of the flooding around town. Wishing everyone the best of luck during the clean up!
